Midwives can 'reduce anxieties' linked to flu jab
 

Midwives in Nottingham have a part to play in reducing anxieties linked to the flu jab, a leading practitioner has said.
It comes after the release of figures last week, which showed that only 34.8 percent of pregnant women in Nottingham booked in for the free jab between September 2015 and January.
Experts say flu can cause serious complications for a pregnant woman and her baby, and Alison Atkinson, head of midwifery at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (NUH), believes that midwives have a duty to convey "health messages" to expectant women.
