Michael Brown reflects on mixed fortunes for Port Vale's squad players



PORT Vale assistant boss Michael Brown says Quentin Pereira is getting closer to breaking into the first team as he gets used to the English game.
Pereira, aged 24, scored a hat-trick for the reserves in their 3-2 win at home to Morecambe yesterday to make his case for a place in Bruno Riberio's squad for Saturday's League One game at promotion rivals Sheffield United.

The midfielder, who signed from Stade De Reims in the summer, has only started one league game for the Valiants but Brown says the Frenchman is making progress.
