Merseyside and London fire crews join together to honour only serving officer killed at Hillsborough
 

Merseyside fire officers joined colleagues from London to pay their respects as a memorial bench was unveiled in honour of the only serving firefighter to die at Hillsborough .
Francis Joseph McAllister was 27 years old when he was among the 96 Liverpool supporters unlawfully killed in Britain’s worst ever sporting disaster on 15 April 1989.
Originally from Roby , Francis joined Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service in 1985 before transferring to London Fire Brigade where he served at Manchester Square and Barbican Fire Stations during his short career.
