Corbyn tears into unequal footing with physical ill-health
THE government is failing the mentally ill by not giving them the same priority as people with physical health conditions, Jeremy Corbyn said yesterday at Prime Minister’s Questions.
The Labour leader accused the Tories of producing “parity of failure,” rather than parity of esteem — referring to the requirement that mental health be given equal priority to physical health, which is enshrined in law by the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
