Melton police to hold first LGBT workshop for teenagers



Police in Melton are holding their first ever workshop with teenagers to discuss lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues.
Sgt Rebecca Horsfall will lead a team of officers at the session at The Venue on Nottingham Road, on October 25.
Other agencies will also be represented at the event, such as counsellors and sexual health practitioners.
The aim is to talk about the need for tolerance of young people with different sexualities to prevent hate crimes being committed and to support any youngsters who have suffered problems in this area.
