Meet the man who recreated a steam engine from a single photograph
 

A retired engineer is preparing for full steam ahead following a three year labour of love to recreate a 19th century steam engine.
David Thomas Young, 79, used just a single photograph and his engineering expertise to recreate narrow-gauge engine Samson.
The train, set to be housed at Beamish Museum, near Stanley, is based on an 1874 narrow gauge engine and has inspired a book.
Mr Young, a retired safety engineer from Fatfield, Washington, was eagerly awaiting the roll out of the pet project which has gone on to inspire a book.
