Meet the head ranger at Northumberland Natonal Park labelled 'the one they left behind'
 

Following in the footsteps of the Roman legions along Hadrian’s Wall is part of the job for Paget Lazarri.
And with an Italian-origin name, Paget has acquired the good-natured label of “the one they left behind.”
It’s all in a day’s work for Paget, who is head ranger at Northumberland National Park.
He and his team of seven rangers cover 400 square miles of the finest landscape in the region.
The Lazarri family is thought to have arrived on Tyneside from Italy in the 19th Century.
