Meet Billy the pumpkin champion of Waterloo



A Seaforth grandad has grown a 25 stone beast of a pumpkin.
Billy Nugent, a dad-of-four and grandad-of-eight, turned his hand to giant vegetables after a health scare and seems to have a knack for it.
This is the second 25 stone gourd he has grown at his allotment in Waterloo .
Billy, from Seaforth, told the ECHO that the lads at the allotment at the bottom of Queensway have an annual competition, which he appears to have won again.
