McLaren unveils first electric car (for the under-6s)
 

Woking-based McLaren Automotive - the road-going, supercar-manufacturing arm of the Formula One team - has built its first pure electric vehicle (EV).
Unfortunately for chequebook-wielding supercar fans, the new McLaren is a replica of its exclusive P1 model that is only suitable for drivers under the age of six.
This scaled-down McLaren P1 is different to its full-sized equivalent in two significant aspects. First, it has a central driving position, like that of the company's famous F1 road car built between 1992 and 1999.
