MASSIVE tourism boost delivered to UK as Brits opt for staycations
 

A staggering 1.6 million people from around the world opted to use Airbnb stays in the UK between June and August. 
Almost half of those were domestic travellers, revealing a growing trend towards staycations. 
The summer figures mark a whopping 85 per cent increase on last year.
London was the most popular holiday destination in the country with just over half a million Airbnb visitors. 
Edinburgh followed in its footsteps, as well as Cornwall, Brighton and Devon.
