Marks & Spencer Church Street scaffolding will be up until next year



Scaffolding around the Marks & Spencer store where a man was hit by falling masonry will be up until the New Year as repairs continue.
A huge cordon was put up around the store in August after some masonry fell from one of the corner turrets on the landmark buildings.
A person had been hit by what the council described as a “small piece” of masonry and taken to hospital.
Contractors for M&S soon started work on the building, but its facade remains fenced off both in Church Street and round the corners into Tarleton Street and Basnett Street.
