MARKET REPORT: Sky shares soar on rumours that Fox boss James Murdoch is about to swoop for the company

Sky shares soared as rumours persisted that James Murdoch at 21st Century Fox may make an offer for the firm.
Fox is the largest shareholder in Sky, with 672.8m shares in the business, representing a 39.1 per cent stake. 
In 2015 Murdoch, who is chief executive at Fox, said the firm was not content being a partial shareholder in Sky.
News Corp had offered 700p a share for BskyB in June 2010, which the firm rejected, saying it would only consider bids of at least 800p. 
News Corp backed out of talks amid pressure as the News of the World phone hacking scandal broke.
