Marc Marquez left surprised after winning the World MotoGP crown
 

The Repsol Honda rider, 23, took his third premier title in four years - and his fifth World crown overall - as he powered to his fifth victory of the season while both his main title rivals crashed.
Valentino Rossi made a great start off pole and was in the scrap at the front before he tipped off at one thirds distance.
Then left the Italian’s Movistar Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo, riding to keep his hopes of retaining the title alive, but he also crashed out in the closing stages.
