Manhunt for Syrian refugee suspected of planning terrorist attack on Germany airport
 

Officers detained three suspects at a German railway station but confirmed that the main suspect, a 22-year-old Syrian national who had been under surveillance, had evaded capture.
It is thought refugee Jaber AlBakr, described as “very dangerous”, may be carrying explosives. Hundreds of armed police, counter terror officers and specialist commandos swarmed the Fritz Heckert area of the east German city of Chemnitz yesterday after details of the plot – described as “imminent” – were uncovered by intelligence officers.
