Manchester United great David Herd dies aged 82
 

Manchester United's 1963 FA Cup final hero David Herd has passed away at the age of 82 following illness.
Scottish striker Herd scored twice in Matt Busby's Reds' 3-1 victory over Leicester at Wembley 54 years ago to clinch the club's first piece of silverware since the traumatic Munich air disaster in 1958. Herd scored for Arsenal in the Busby Babes' last match on English soil, a stirring 5-4 victory at Highbury on February 1.
