Manchester man appears in court in relation to alleged hit-and-run in Ulverston



John Edward Burns, 30, appeared at Furness Magistrates' on August 1, charged with seven offences.
Burns, of Sycamore Road, Manchester was arrested after a four-day man hunt following the major incident in Ulverston which left a cyclist fighting for his life.
Burns is charged with robbery, using threatening behaviour, fraud by false representation, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, vehicle interference, common assault and aggravated vehicle taking but did not enter any pleas.
He is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 1 at 10am.
