Managerless Gretna prepare to take on in-form Dalbeattie Star at Islecroft

Stuart Rome is back in charge of the side as they gear up for Saturday’s derby day trip to Islecroft.
The veteran coach has stepped in after manager Steve Rudd left Raydale Park on Sunday following a 5-0 defeat at East Stirlingshire.
He took the team at home to Gala Fairydean Rovers on Tuesday night. A league match which ended 1-1.
Rome said of the manager’s departure: “Steven is a good young coach who works hard and will have a future in football.
“I think it was a culmination of a few factors including his work commitments and possibly results on the park.
