Man who played key role in transforming Durham dies aged 82
 

Tributes have been paid to the man who played a key role in guiding County Durham through years of transformation.
Jim Wilson, former county planning officer for County Durham, has died aged 82.
He arrived in Durham as a planning research assistant in 1956, becoming county planning officer in 1976.
