Man who killed his girlfriend has 'soft' sentence increased
 

A man who killed his vulnerable girlfriend with a blow to the stomach had his 'too soft' 10-year sentence upped to 15 years today.
Andrew James Maling brutally attacked Amy Gough several times before the final fatal assault in March last year.
The 47-year-old, now of Main Street, Sigglesthorne, in Hull, was put behind bars after being convicted of manslaughter at Nottingham Crown Court in June.
But his case reached London's Appeal Court and the Attorney General, Jeremy Wright QC, called for a tougher sentence.
