Man treated for cardiac arrest and airlifted from Harlaston, near Tamworth



AN elderly man was airlifted to hospital yesterday afternoon (Thursday) after suffering a cardiac arrest near Tamworth.
The incident happened in Portway Lane, Harlaston, with both West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance in attendance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called around midday on Thursday (October 13). We sent an ambulance and a community paramedic to the scene.
"The elderly gentleman had collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest, he was given three shocks and CPR at the scene. The man was resuscitated and then airlifted to... read more
