Man stole 13 blocks of cheese from Leicester supermarket – but ‘didn’t know what to do with it’
A man has admitted stealing 13 blocks of cheese from a supermarket.
Kawete Habib (36) went to Heron Foods, in Leicester city centre, without any money, and loaded 13 blocks of Wyke Farm cheese into a bag, the city's magistrates' court heard.
He left without paying, triggering off the shop's security alarm.
Kwok Wan, prosecuting, told the court Habib, of Bonchurch Street, Newfoundpool, Leicester, was not sure how much cheese he had taken or what he would have done with it.
