Man rushed to hospital after emergency in Grimsby Town Centre



A man was taken to hospital after collapsing and going into cardiac arrest in the centre of Grimsby today.
Two double-crewed ambulances from East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the emergency in Victoria Street shortly after 1pm.
The man, understood to be 70 years old, collapsed on to a woman near to a bus stop and began fitting.
He was treated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation after going into arrest, an ambulance service spokesman said.
He said crews were on scene within 10 minutes of the 999 call to say the man was fitting.
It was later confirmed he suffered cardiac arrest.
