Man on Wallasey Tunnel approach road bridge was taken to safety
 

A man who was climbed on to a bridge causing the closure of the Wallasey Tunnel last night came down safely.
The Kingsway Tunnel was blocked off to motorists heading towards Wirral after concerns were raised for the safety of the 23-year-old man.
Police incident closes Wallasey Tunnel
He had been spotted at around 9pm standing on the wrong side of the parapet of a bridge which is over the tunnel approach road on Bryom Street/Scotland Road.
Emergency services were sent to the scene and officers were talking to him.
Merseyside Police have now confirmed that the man eventually came down.
