Man on roof of St Helens police station - updates
 

Part of St Helens town centre has been sealed off as police deal with man who has climbed onto the roof of a police station. Connor Dunn is our reporter on the scene.
Police confirm the man, in his 20s, was spotted hurling items from the roof of St Helens police station in College Street causing damage to the building and vehicles below.
He has been on the roof since 11.30pm last night.
Police negotiators have been drafted in and the incident is on going.
