Man jailed for ‘brutal attack’



A judge has jailed a 34-year-old man who carried out a “brutal attack” in front of dozens of parents and children at Hartshead Moor service station last summer.
Judge Jonathan Rose said the sustained violence in August last year was witnessed by members of the public on what should have a perfectly peaceful Saturday afternoon.
In fact John Blundell’s attack on his ex-partner’s new boyfriend Wayne Nelson was captured on a dashcam belonging to another motorist and the footage was shown in court before Judge Rose imposed a 16-month jail sentence.
