Man in hospital after night-time hit and run



A man is being treated in hospital after he was hit by a car and the driver failed to stop at the scene.
Police say the victim was a 27 year old man who was a pedestrian at the time.
It happened at around 2.35am on Saturday, October 15 on Avenue Road in Grantham.

The vehicle involved is thought to be a small, dark coloured car.
The pedestrian was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment.
A police spokesman said his injuries are not described as very serious.
