Man held knife to his partner's throat during attack
 

A man was warned by a judge he could be jailed after being found guilty of attacking his partner.
Carlisle Crown Court was told 57-year-old Alistair Brooks held a knife against the neck of Rachael Wright during a late night incident in their Penrith flat.
Before taking hold of the blade, Brooks had struck Miss Wright in the face "more than once". He dragged her along the floor and then stuck his finger in her right eye.
Brooks, of Eamont Bridge, near Penrith, denied assaulting Miss Wright, causing her actual bodily harm, on February 21.
