Man hanged himself just weeks after Mecca bingo hall proposal to girlfriend



A “romantic” who proposed to his girlfriend at a packed bingo hall died just weeks later after hanging himself.
Aaron Stopp, 30, from Rock Ferry, was found in his room by shocked staff at Shrewsbury Lodge in Oxton, Wirral on July 29.
He was said to have had a history of emotionally unstable personality disorder and had threatened to take his own life on previous occasions.
An inquest heard that his death was due to hanging and toxicology tests revealed the presence of cocaine in his blood.
