Man feels his twin brother's early onset Parkinson's tremors thanks to 'tele-empathy' device that SIMULATES his muscle spasms



Pat Smerdon felt his identical twin brother's Parkinson's tremors for the first time, thanks to a new 'tele-empathy' device.
Pat's brother, Jim Smerdon was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 10 years ago, when the twins were 33. The disease makes simple activities like holding a phone or speaking a challenge for Jim.
A new device, called SymPulse captures Jim's tremors and turns them into electrical impulses that are then mapped onto his twin's arm, simulating almost identical involuntary muscle movements so that Pat can better impulse with his brother's daily experience.
