Man comes forward over allegation boy, eight, was kicked in mouth
 

A man police were trying to trace in connection with an alleged assault on an eight-year-old dog walker has come forward.
A 55-year-old is helping officers with their inquires following a media appeal earlier this week. But detectives are still trying to trace a potential witness to the alleged assault in which the boy claims he was kicked in the mouth.
A Derbyshire police force spokesman said: "At around 5pm on Friday, October 7, the boy and his mother were walking in the Gallows Inn playing fields, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston. They had their two dachshunds with them.
