Man charged with attempted murder following Rusholme Chippy stabbing



A man has been charged with attempted murder after a chef was stabbed in a chip shop.
Mohammed Fyaz, 45, of no fixed address, will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court later today.
A 25-year-old man was knifed in the stomach, shoulder and head in front of shocked staff at the Rusholme Chippy on Wilmslow Road, on Friday.
The victim, named as Shawkawt Khan, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Greater Manchester Police said he remains in hospital, but is now stable.
