Man charged with attempted murder



A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in which a 52-year-old man was stabbed.
Police were called out at approximately 9pm on Sunday to a house in Station Road, Foulridge, where officers found the man with injuries to his lower back and torso.
A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
Last night officers charged Philip Gale (50), of Station Road, Foulridge, with attempted murder. He was remanded into custody and will appear at Burnley Magistrates' Court this morning.
