Man brought to safety after spending 15 hours on a Newcastle city centre rooftop
 

A man who climbed onto a city centre roof was perched on a ledge for more than 15 hours until officers finally convinced him to come down.
Northumbria Police say the man was brought down from the ledge at 7.30pm on Friday.
Officers said they were then assessing the man and said they have yet to establish why he climbed on top of the building.
Police were called to the Grey Street Hotel, on the corner of Grey Street and Mosley Street , at 4.21am, due to concern about the man.
