Man arrested after teenage cyclist left fighting for life in Brantingham Road Elloughton

A man has been arrested after a teenage boy was left fighting for his life in the road in a suspected hit-and-run.
The 16-year-old was cycling on a black bicycle around 11.15pm on Friday night in Brantingham Road, Elloughton, when it is believed a vehicle travelling in the same direction struck him from behind and knocked him to the ground.
The unknown vehicle then sped off and the boy was later found lying in the middle of the road by a member of the public. He remains in a life-threatening condition today (Sunday) after emergency services transported him to hospital.
