Man arrested after driver carjacked and ran over in Manchester's Northern Quarter
 

A man has been arrested after a driver was allegedly carjacked and run over in his own vehicle in Manchester .
The 28-year-old was detained on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, driving under the influence of alcohol and assault.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
Emergency services were called to Tib Street, in the Northern Quarter , just before 5pm on Saturday.
Witnesses said a man was hit by a Volkswagen Golf and then reversed over several times.
The car was driven away from the scene, reportedly with its doors open, and is said to have narrowly missed other pedestrians.... read more
