Man appears in court charged with death of South Shields dad-of-two
 

A man accused of killing a dad-of-two in a road tragedy has appeared in court.
Peter Anderson stood before North Tyneside Magistrates Court to face a charged with causing the death of motorcyclist Michael Lewthwaite by careless driving.
The tragedy happened on June 12, last year, bear the entrance of the Tyne Pedestrian Tunnel in North Tyneside.
The 49-year-old who shared his time between a caravan he lived in on Lizard Lane, South Shields, and his parents’ address in the town’s Fairholme Avenue, was taken to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary but later died from his injuries.
