Man appears in court accused of attempted murder and arson after Walker house fire



A man charged with attempted murder and arson after an alleged attack at a house in Newcastle has made his first appearance in court.
Steven Thomas Terence Clark is accused of assaulting a 43-year-old man, who remains in intensive care, on Saturday, July 22.
The 35-year-old was in the dock at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Friday to face charges of attempted murder and arson.
No plea was taken during the short hearing and Clark, of no fixed address, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
