Man accused of killing Tommy Bilton in double stabbing is cleared of murder
 

A man accused of killing a teenager in a double stabbing has been cleared of murder.
Matthew Stubbs was acquitted of killing Tommy Bilton, 19, from Limeside, Oldham, in a Manchester Crown Court trial. But he has been warned to expect a lengthy jail sentence after being found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Tommy’s friend, Simon Dalton.
Mr Dalton, 24, was stabbed in the kidneys by Stubbs after violence broke out outside a house party on Oldham’s Eldon Street estate last year.
