Man accused of killing Andrew Denton of Hull with cyanide pretended to be 'angel of mercy' - trial



An American accused of killing a Hull man by sending him cyanide in the post presented himself to suicidal people as the "angel of mercy", a trial has heard.
Sidney Kilmartin, 54, was arrested two years ago over the death of east Hull man Andrew Denton, who was found dead in his flat in 2012 after killing himself with cyanide bought over the internet.
Fraudster Kilmartin, of Connecticut, ran a scam defrauding suicidal people who believed they were purchasing cyanide online but instead received harmless Epsom salts.
