Man, 50, rushed to hospital 'after being stabbed in back'
 

A 50-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after reportedly being stabbed in Southport.
Officers are still on the scene at Eastbank Street, where a man suffered injuries to his lower back.
Merseyside Police said the injuries “are consistent with a sharp weapon being used.” The man has been taken to hospital - but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Trust told the ECHO that a 50-year-old man was hospitalised after the broad daylight attack.
