Major plans to revamp the Golden Mile could be dropped

Leicester mayor Sir Peter Soulsby says he is prepared to drop a plan to revamp the Golden Mile following an 'inconclusive' consultation on the project.
The city council has been asking Belgrave residents and businesses what they think of a potentially radical plan to remodel road space down the famous route.
Option A would keep the existing four lanes of traffic, while option B would mean just one lane in each direction.
