M&S to extend its UK sourcing of lamb by six weeks in 2017
 

Marks & Spencer has pledged to extend its UK sourcing of lamb by a further six weeks next year.
The retailer said it was “important” that British farm businesses were profitable as they underpinned the domestic supply chain.
Steve McLean, head of agriculture and fisheries at M&S, made the announcement at a meeting of NFU Cymru’s livestock board in Builth Wells, Powys .
He said: “Our procurement policy is key to our business and its longevity.
