Luke Donald struggling to avoid early British Masters exit



Tournament host Luke Donald faced an uphill battle to avoid an early exit from the British Masters as play resumed at The Grove on Friday.
Donald managed just one birdie in a disappointing first round of 77, the former world number one carding five bogeys and a double bogey to finish six over par.
With the cut projected to fall at one over, Donald needed to get off to a fast start on day two and followed three pars with a birdie on the 13th, the hole which he double bogeyed on Thursday.
