Ludlow tree row: Sycamore cut down 'to stop rents going up'
 

0 Comments The action was the subject of a second row over the felling of healthy adult trees in Ludlow in recent weeks, with one councillor saying he had a length of cable with him in preparation to tie himself to one of the sycamores.
Shropshire Housing Group said the two sycamores, on a green next to its social housing on Sidney Road, were being felled as an “imperative” cost-cutting measure as the cost of maintaining them was borne by tenants who could ill-afford it.
