Low attainment rates in schools a "key priority" for Cumbria County council



Councillor Sue Sanderson worked as both a teacher and head in a number of schools and is now the cabinet member for schools and learning at Cumbria County Council.
She said the data released by the Education Policy Institute, which found disadvantaged pupils in the county were lagging behind their non-disadvantaged counterparts was "a key priority" for the area and improvements had already been made.
