A simple upwards glance in Leicester city centre reveal a wealth of the city's curious history.
A stone owl perched above a shop in Cart's Lane, a weeping angel over the door of a High Street pub and a Green Man peering down from the delivery entrance of a Belvoir Street hotel are highlights of new activity trail - aimed at teaching kids more about Leicester's past.
The trail, created by Leicester City Council and experts the University of Leicester, encourages families to investigate the city's historic buildings as part of the 'Look at Leicester' initiative.
