Look out for the Blue Blood Supermoon and total lunar eclipse



Look up on January 31 to witness the moon during three special events - all happening on the same night.
The first full moon of the year, the Wolf Moon, fell on January 1 and was a supermoon. Now the second full moon of the month - making it a Blue Moon - is to occur on Wednesday, January 31. And it is also a Supermoon!
Supermoons - which occur when the moon’s orbit brings it closest to Earth - are more impressive than a regular full moon, appearing 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter. That's usually cause for some excitement among astronomers.
