Long Eaton fundraisers want £8,500 to help dog with broken back
 

Dog-loving fundraisers are trying to raise £8,500 to improve the life of a 'backstreet' dog.
Five-month-old Charlie has been taken in by the Long Eaton-based Hope Animal Rescue Centre, which has started raising the money for expensive medical treatment.
The Staffie pup is believed to have been trampled on when he was younger, leaving him incontinent and with a broken back.
Susan Buck, owner of the Briar Gate rescue centre, which specialises in fostering and re-homing animals, said: "He is losing power daily even though he is such a trier.
