Long delays on M1 after lorry jackknifes

Both carriageways of the M1 are partially blocked due to a jackknifed lorry, which is causing long delays stretching back into Nottinghamshire.
The crash happened between junction 23a and 23 of the motorway, and traffic is already backing up to junction 24a for East Midlands Airport.

Highways England have asked any drivers stuck in the traffic to remain patient while its staff try to open more lanes.
