Local pharmacist cuts price of morning-after pill to just a FIVER



An online pharmacy has slashed the price of its morning-after pill to a fiver.
Retailer Chemist 4 U, based in Skelmersdale, said it has cut the price of its generic version of the common Levonelle pill, called Levonorgestrel, in response to the growing campaign to make emergency contraception affordable.
National chain Boots came under fire last month for suggesting women would misuse the morning-after pill if the price was cut, with its Levonelle product on sale for £28.25 and own-brand version for £26.75.
